Scone Palace

At the end of the Wellingtonia avenue in the pinetum at Scone Palace stands a giant among giants. This Wellingtonia makes the rest look small in comparison (though, that’s not to say the rest are small – they’re anything but!) The trunk of this individual tapers less than most and keeps its girth for a good way up the tree, adding to its grandeur.
